Adding a Vehicle

Your vehicles are at the heart of your Scaletra experience, as they are essential for joining challenges and starting activities! Here’s everything you need to know about adding and managing your R/C vehicles in the app. From selecting the perfect vehicle for each challenge to tracking its performance during activities, your vehicles are your ultimate companions in every Scaletra adventure.

Number of Vehicles You Can Add

In Scaletra, you can add up to 10 vehicles plus an unlimited number of BRX vehicles, allowing you to track and manage a diverse collection of R/C vehicles in your account. This exclusive feature is part of Scaletra's collaboration with Boom Racing, making it easier for BRX enthusiasts to fully integrate their vehicles into challenges and activities. Each vehicle can be customized with details such as make, model, and unique features, ensuring you can seamlessly switch between vehicles and enjoy a tailored experience.

Go to the Vehicles tab and tap on the plus sign.

Upload a photo of the vehicle.

Toggle if you want this to be your primary vehicle.

Enter the vehicle details:

Vehicle Name: Name of your vehicle.

Vehicle Manufacturer: Use the chassis brand as the vehicle manufacturer. For custom-made chassis, you can name it in a way that best describes it.

Vehicle Model: Put the specific model of your vehicle. If it’s a custom-made vehicle, apply the same logic above in this field.

About this vehicle: Describe your vehicle in your own creative way.

Privacy Settings: Control who can view your vehicle details:

Everyone: Your vehicle is visible to all users.

Followers Only: Only your followers can see it.

No-one: Your vehicle remains private and only you can see it.

Tap on Continue and add vehicle specifications (optional) then tap on Save to complete.

Pro Tip!: Vehicle specifications may be required to participate in challenges that are limited to specific vehicles (e.g., straight axle challenges or leaf suspension setup challenges). Adding them ensures compatibility with these challenge requirements. If you have modified your vehicle, you can edit this list and update them to the latest specifications.

Wheel Size: Diameter of your wheel.

Suspension Setup: Type of suspension your vehicle has.

Wheelbase: The distance between the front and the rear wheel, measured from center to center.

Axle Type: Type of axle your vehicle has.

Tire Size: Diameter of your tire.

Is this a Boom Racing BRX vehicle?

Scaletra is collaborating with Boom Racing to help BRX owners easily sync and manage their vehicles on the Scaletra app.

Boom Racing provides BRX vehicle owners with a registration feature that notifies them about important updates, including recalls, scheduled maintenance, and new options.

All vehicles registered on Boomracing.com will automatically sync to Scaletra. BRX vehicles added on Scaletra will also be registered and synced to Boomracing.com automatically.

If you own a Boom Racing BRX vehicle, here’s how to add it to your Scaletra account:

Go to the Vehicles tab and tap on the plus sign.

On the next screen, locate "Is this a Boom Racing BRX vehicle?" and tap on the toggle

You’ll be asked “Is this vehicle registered to Boom Racing?”

If Yes, tap on the toggle then tap on Sync.

Note:

All vehicles registered to that Boom Racing account will sync to your Scaletra account.

You can sync vehicles from multiple Boom Racing accounts to your Scaletra account this way.

If No, continue to add the vehicle details.

Vehicle Model: Select the BRX model.

Vehicle Number: Enter in the vehicle number found on your license plate. Enter the numbers only. (For example if your vehicle number is B2L1001, only enter 001)

VIN Number: Enter the VIN number found on your chassis.

You will be redirected to boomracing.com to check for the vehicle's registration details. Select the vehicle model and provide the vehicle number and VIN number to check whether the vehicle is registered or not.

Note: If you register a BRX vehicle in Scaletra, it will automatically sync and register to Boomracing.com under the same email address.

You can login to Boomracing.com with the same Scaletra account email to see your vehicle on the Boomracing.com website.

If you don't have a Boom Racing account, go to boomracing.com to create an account with the same email address. Your vehicle will appear under your account afterwards.
