Map View, Statistics, and Progress Details

Learn more about the activity map.

The map in Scaletra is your main tool for tracking and visualizing your adventures, whether you're participating in a challenge or starting an activity. It provides real-time updates on your progress, location, and other key data, making it easy to navigate your journey and record it accurately.

When you start a challenge or activity, a menu overlays the map with real-time performance data. Here's what it displays:

Notion image
  • Distance: Tracks the total distance you've traveled, measured in either Metric (km) or Imperial (mi) units, depending on your settings.
  • Total Time: Indicates the total elapsed time of your activity, including any pauses or stops.
  • Average Pace: Shows the average time it takes you to cover one kilometer or mile during the entire activity (e.g., min/km or min/mi).
  • Runtime: Displays your active time (Excluding Auto pause, Overspeeding and Loss of GPS), showing how long you've been moving.
  • Recent Pace: The average pace (number of mins it takes to cover 1 km) over the last 30 seconds.
  • Elevation Gain: Tracks the total elevation gained from the start of your recording. Useful for hill climbs or elevation-specific challenges.
  • Elevation: Displays your real-time elevation above sea level. This is calculated using GPS data.
  • Calories: Estimates the energy you’ve expended during the activity in kilojoules (kJ), based on your movement. This will be calculated if you have entered your weight info in your profile.
  • Challenge Progress Bar: Visible only during challenges, it displays your total progress towards completing the challenge in real-time. Alongside the progress bar, you’ll see a percentage indicating how much of the challenge you've completed in your current recording.

Pro Tip!:

You can swipe down to minimize the menu and get a full view of the map. By pinching inwards or outwards on the map, you can zoom in and out to view your current location, nearby landmarks, or the overall progress of your trail.
